Dogs communicate with each other through barking. Though barking is quite normal for dogs and their owners, sometimes it becomes a nuisance, especially when dogs are barking too much, too loud or at inappropriate times. Here comes the Bark Collar to the rescue of harassed dog owners and their neighbors!
First of all people should know what these bark collars are and how they work.
Bark collars are specialized types of dog collars worn around the canine’s neck that keep these animals from barking excessively or inappropriately. Barking can be considered excessive or inappropriate depending on the type of neighborhood, the time of day, and the circumstances surrounding the behavior.

Electronic bark collars work through the principles of aversive training. The aversive stimuli consist in a warning beep followed by a mild electric shock, and they are delivered from the collar when the dog barks in excess. These stimuli induce unpleasant feelings to the dog to startle it to cease its barking behavior.

When the dog owner uses the bark collar on its pet, many benefits reveal for both the owner and his neighbors.

• This collar is useful to restrain the dog from barking in excess during the night time, when the neighborhood should be peaceful and quiet. You and your neighbors will no more be waking at odd hours by your dog barking at the moon.

• The electric shocks can be adjusted based on the training needs, discipline level and size of the dog. Higher settings are appropriate for dogs of large size like the Great Dane, which love to bark anytime with a loud voice, and lower settings are fitting to small sized dogs like the Yorkshire terrier, which barks just occasionally from boredom. You may have to experiment with the settings starting from the lowest one until your dog benefits from the aversive training technique.

• There is also the possibility that your dog barks because of the presence of intruders; most bark collars are able to allow the dog to alert you if it really wants to signal you this thing or another type of danger. In order to do this, the electronic device of the bark collar will automatically shut off in the case your dog barks for at least 15 times in a 30 seconds interval. If you use this function of the bark collar, you will know that prolonged barking means a real danger and you will be able to respond in an appropriate manner.

• You can easily adjust the bark collar to fit to the size of the neck of your dog, so it will feel comfortable while wearing it. These useful dog training electronic devices are usually fixed on leather made dog collars.

If your dog loves to yip and yap at anything and everything, then the Bark Collar is the best product you can invest on to train it toward proper behavior

Is all dog barking bad? In fact, it’s normal and healthy for dogs to bark when they’re afraid. Your dog sometimes barks from valid reasons and other times it is just bored. When they bark exactly when you’re not in the mood to hear them, then that’s a big problem. While there are several types of methods for preventing your dog from barking at such times, an Anti Bark Collar is definitely one of the best options.

The operation of an anti-bark collar is quite simple. They are made from a mic and a battery. When your dog barks, this triggers a beep and a mild stimulus for discouraging the barking. The two main types of pain-free stimuli are citronella (more specifically, oil from the plant) and ultrasonic sound. Dog owners came to the conclusion that the citronella spray is more efficient than the ultrasonic ones, because dogs can get used to the latter and ignore them.

Of course, you might wonder why you should buy an anti bark collar instead of trying a different approach; if you want to train your dog without using any aggressive method, these devices are the best option. This applies especially to the citrus collar, because the spray contains only natural substances, extracted from plants, Somehow, even the ultrasounds collars are holistic methods, as their sound is similar to a high pitched human voice. It’s interesting to note that not only can certain anti-bark collars be safe for dogs, but also for insects. For example, while a citronella-filled anti-bark collar can help to repel insects such as fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, it won’t actually hurt or kill the bugs. Insects don’t like this smell either.

One of the strongest advantages of these devices is that they’re humane. This is true especially when we talk about the citrus collars. As you love your dog, you want to train him without using aggressivity. While dogs dislike the scent of citronella, the scent won’t cause them any health problems. The ultrasound collars are harmless also, but dogs might get used to their sounds in time. Keep in mind that your dog is your precious companion. Therefore, you must find the means to train it without hurting it. While it’s OK if a product gets your pet’s attention, look for ones that don’t cause your canine any pain.

The Anti Bark Collar is also very efficient. Whenever you purchase an item, you should be interested whether it really works. Among all dog training devices, the anti back collar is really worth the price. It can help eliminate almost 90% of the unwanted dog barking. Of course, this isn’t to say that we should take an “anything goes” approach when choosing anti-bark collars. But when choosing the best one for our pet pooches, we should certainly consider how effective they are.

Because of the increasing offer in bark control devices, their price has dropped recently. The price depends on many variables, such as the model or the method of anti bark it uses. Still, you can easily find anti-bark collars whose price tags are below $100 USD. In the end, even those on a low budget can afford to purchase a good bark collar.

Many wonder whether all types of barking are bad; actually, dogs have to bark every now and then and that’s perfectly normal. But timing is everything. When they bark exactly when you’re not in the mood to hear them, then that’s a big problem. There are many anti bark options for your dog, but the Anti Bark Collar is probably the best solution you can choose.

The mechanism this device uses is extremely simple. They are made from a mic and a battery. When your dog barks, this triggers a beep and a mild stimulus for discouraging the barking. The stimuli vary with the type of collar you purchase. There are collars with citrus spray and others with ultrasonic sounds. From the dog owners’ experience, the citronella anti bark collar is the best solution; it is slightly more efficient than the one using ultrasounds, as your pet might get used to these sounds in a while.

Of course, you might wonder why you should buy an anti bark collar instead of trying a different approach; if you want to train your dog without using any aggressive method, these devices are the best option. That’s particularly true of the citronella-based collar, since it includes an oil that originates naturally from a plant. Up to some extent, even the collars with ultrasounds can be considered holistic methods, as they imitate the sounds make by loud human voices. The citrus collars are great for your dog, as well as for the insects. For instance, you can use the citronella collar to stop the dog’s barking, but the smell will also repel annoying insects, but it won’t kill them. Insects don’t like this smell either.

One of the advantages of bark collars is that they’re human training methods. This is true especially when we talk about the citrus collars. This is why it is the best solution to train your beloved pet. Even tough dogs dislike the smell of citrus, it won’t hurt them in any way. The ultrasound collars are harmless also, but dogs might get used to their sounds in time. Remember that one of the monikers for dogs is “Man’s best friend. ” So choose an anti-bark product that treats your friend nicely. While it’s OK if a product gets your pet’s attention, look for ones that don’t cause your canine any pain.

One of the many benefits of this Anti Bark Collar is its efficiency. As consumers, one of the most important questions we have about any type of product is: does it work? Amazingly, some scientific studies have revealed that anti-bark collars can be effective in preventing up to 90% of your dog’s unwanted barking. Of course, this isn’t to say that we should take an “anything goes” approach when choosing anti-bark collars. When considering this purchase, keep in mind that the product should be efficient.

One other advantage of this product is its price. Now you can buy really cheap bark control collars at affordable prices. Still, you can easily find anti-bark collars whose price tags are below $100 USD. That’s a plus in today’s sluggish global market.

More than ten thousand years have passed since humans started to domesticate dogs, and from the beginnings they find practical to make use of collars with their canine companions. It is very hard to establish when exactly people have been using dog collars for the first time, but we have proves that they were already used in the times of ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. From the beginning of the dog domestication period, humans needed some means to identify each dog belonging to each master or to provide their dogs with some kind of protection against unwanted critters, and this is why they used dog collars. If usual dog collars are useful, you may ask what for do you need a citronella bark collar? This is not the usual dog collar you and your dog are used to, but a bark collar. You can use this type of collar in order to modify the bad behaviors of your dog. They are specifically used to restrain your dog from barking too much or when disturbing. You can find a microphone and battery in any type of bark collar. The microphone becomes the altering tool for the dog’s behavior. Bark collars are designed to only discourage improper barking. While there are three main types of bark collars, one of the most popular ones is the Citronella Bark Collar. You can notice a specific can with a solution of citronella oil.

Citronella oil is produced by some types of grasses. Various critters like fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes will avoid the odor of this oil.Dogs also detest this lemon-like odor. Among the advantages of citronella-based bark collars are:

1. The citronella bark collars are safe for the dogsThe citronella-based solution from these bark collars is non-toxic. So it won’t have a negative effect on your dog’s eyes or skin. Citronella oil is also harmless for most people.

2. These collars are quite useful Dog’s behavior modification is their main objective. When your dog barks, the microphone in the dog collar senses the barking. In that case the collar releases citronella vapors. Your dog doesn’t need too much time to associate its barking to the nasty odor of the citronella fluid. In fact, several scientific studies have verified that the Citronella Bark Collar is quite effective. A study performed by the College of Veterinary Medicine showed these collars eliminate almost 90% of a dog’s unwanted barking. So solid scientific research validates claims that satisfied owners of citronella-based collars have made.

3. The citronella bark collars work kindly. Many experts and dog owners consider bark collars with citronella to be the most humane type on the market. That’s because the dog experiences no pain when exposed to the citronella. Many dog owners buy these effective and humane dog bark collars. All of us want to protect our best friends.

Not only dogs and their owners, but neither insects will be harmed by the citronella oil based solution. The safety of an annoying flea or tick is considered far less important than the safety of our dogs. But if you want to prevent the harm of animals while protecting your pet, then a citronella bark collar is definitely a wise choice. Because it keeps the insects away without hurting them.

When you have decided to obtain a dog tracking program for a considerably much more efficient hunting expertise with your dog, you will most likely want to know how to take care of the program to ensure that it stays in good working order. You might be going to want to make sure that you simply perform appropriate maintenance for your tracking collar program. A number of the points that you simply will want to cover if you are maintaining your tracking collar contain the following:

Switching the batteries

Make certain that the batteries are updated in your tracking program. Whilst most newer systems are waterproof, the batteries aren’t. Changing the batteries when the program gets wet as well as making certain that you simply update the batteries when needed will maintain your tracking collar program in good working order. Most of the problems that occur with these systems is on account of faulty batteries. You ought to also remove the batteries when the program is not in use.

Drying off the program

Even if the program is waterproof, you must still make sure that you simply dry it off soon after it gets wet. Keeping the program clean and dry will insure that it works accurately. Anytime the program gets wet, dry it thoroughly.

Keep the antenna down when hunting

A number of the newer dog tracking systems come with 3 tiered antennas. You might want to only extend the antenna if you are tracking. Keep the antenna folded up if you aren’t tracking your dog to make certain that it doesn’t break off.

Use a holster

If your dog tracking program comes with a holster, make sure that you simply use it if you are out hunting. The holster can maintain the receiver secure and prevent it from accidentally falling and breaking.

Make certain your program is polarized

Polarization with tracking systems indicates that both the receiving and transmitting antenna are in balance with 1 one more. Make certain that they’re both oriented in the same way if you want to obtain probably the most out of your program and preserve it in good order.

Do not touch the elements of the Yagi antenna if you are using it.

The Yagi antenna will be the 3 tiered antenna which is employed in most dog tracking systems. You do not want to compromise this part of the program as it will be what ultimately leads you to your dog. Make certain that when using the program you do not touch it and maintain it away from metal objects, cars as well as people. Set the antenna in the same orientation as that on the transmitter to ensure that it is possible to get optimized use of your program.

Register the program for warranty

If the dog tracking program that you simply purchased has a warranty, make sure that you simply complete the registration. This may enable you to use the warranty if some thing goes wrong with your program that you simply can’t fix. Most of the time the program could be repaired, but if not, under warranty you will get a brand new program.

Deciding on the proper hunting gear is really crucial.

Are you getting tired of shushing your barking mad dog?
Your neighbors probably are losing sleep over this, as you would, too.
If you’re renting, you may not want to risk eviction.
It’s sad, but some dog owners, because of this bad barking behavior, tend to not spend as much time as they did before with their dogs. If your dog loves spending time on the park, or on long walks with you, that dog is in for some disappointment.

Barking is one sure way a dog can get your attention

The thing is it’s more likely your dog will bark more often the less time you spend with it – because you surely come to its side just to shush it. At night, when they bark loud enough to wake half the block, you get up from bed and come to their side – so their behavior of barking is getting rewarded with your attention. That’s the pattern dogs will keep trying to bring about. It’s a cycle you can break.

Cats, other dogs, birds, the sound of trucks, and other bark-triggers

Dogs also react to stimuli in their environment. This could include anything “happening” in, near, and around your house – other dogs, birds on trees, the loud engine of cars, cats in the bushes. Just to be realistic, you can’t be at home all the time to shoo away animals and right what’s wrong.

Stop your dog from barking by using a dog bark collar

Dreaming of not been woken up in the middle of the night by that barking? Want to spend a quiet day at the park with your dog? There’s a way to do that. A bark never really stands alone, it is preceded and followed by more. Only a good dog bark collar can help you stop that nasty barking habit. Unlike a standard collar, a bark collar interrupts your dog’s barking spree. Over time, there’ll be no more barking.

How bark collars work: the stimulus-response theory

The same principle is followed by every no bark collar on the market. A device is attached to the collar, often this is waterproof, and is powered by batteries that are replaceable or rechargeable. Depending on the stimulus you chose – static, sound, spray – the collar releases any one of these to interrupt the dog’s bark. It’s like being slapped on the wrist every time you reach out to the cookie jar. The stimulus is annoying, more so that a regular slap, and that’s what serves as disincentive for the dog.

The effective types of no bark collars

The three types of bark collar stimuli – spray, sound, static – has been compared in some studies, to see which works well overall. So far it seems there’s a tie between the static or shock type and the spray type in deterring excessive barking. A low current volt is released by the static type, a stimulus that jars your dog and annoys it greatly, without posing any harm. The other type, the spray type releases a scented but harmless fluid towards the area of your dog’s nose to momentarily overwhelm his sense of smell.

One day one big dog found a way around its bark control collar. Sandy has this great big dog, a St. Bernard with a haughty name – Magnus – and who routinely and loudly barked at dogs he saw through the front gate. By the sound of his bark, you could sense some arrogance, of rightful ownership ignore – Magnus probably felt like he owned the streets.

So Sandy bought a bark control collar, one that triggered when Magnus barked. It worked for a week, a week of quiet. After that, the barking resumed – not the same but just as annoying. Magnus had gotten used to the shock’s intensity level. The collar would release a static correction upon a bark, and would continue to do so, one buzz followed by another, when the barking continued.

The big dog found a way, releasing a low whooping kind of bark, and then pausing – because shock collars can continue buzzing until the dog stopped barking. When she thought about it, Sandy realized this was how the big dog worked around the static – the nodes of the collar would momentarily not touch the dog’s throat, meaning a non-activation. Then after one whooping bark Magnus would pause, and then give out another same bark, over and over.

The intensity setting on the collar – Sandy adjusted this, higher this time, so the big dog wouldn’t be able to ignore it. The collar she adjusted to tighten the slack. That stopped Magnus from barking. He had a hard time shaking off that collar – it wouldn’t slide around his neck like before. This meant a consistency in the static correction activation, since the nodes with constantly touching the dog’s neck’s skin.

One could see Magnus was not happy with it. Once he tried to throw a whooping bark, he ended up with an odd, funny look on his face. The dog looked startled, but tried again to bark. He winced again, a funny familiar look. Days marched into weeks sans the barking – a quiet house it was. Sandy showered Magnus with attention right after he showed signs of avoiding his big barks – which Magnus probably loved, too. The barking problem seem to have faded on its own and the big dog was back to simply being a big happy dog.

Dog owner with dogs as big as stubborn as Magnus should want to know what Sandy did to overcome that barking stubbornness. When Magnus tried to bark, Sandy watched closely. She made some adjustments and observed how those adjustments affected her dog’s barking.

Okay, here’s a summary of what Sandy learned from all this. You might need to adjust the intensity settings. Make sure the collar is snug-fit, but not too tight. A spray collar is a good alternative to the static collar if you think that the static type is not working out for your dog. Consult your vet about the problem.
