Even if you love your pet and doesn’t want to go anywhere without it, there are many place where you can stay when you go on vacation. As increasing numbers of people choose to travel with pets, it is becoming more common for hotels to allow pets. These hotels make it much more possible to travel with your pets
When you are planning a trip, you can find a wide variety of resources available on the internet to help you find pet friendly hotels for your trip. Any internet search will produce many websites that you can use to find a good pet-friendly hotel. You only need to enter the location where you are looking for a hotel and they will bring up a list of possibilities. You should call and double check that pets are still allowed before booking a room.?
Once you find pet friendly accommodations that you are interested in staying at, you should investigate what types of restrictions and fees are involved. Some hotels only allow certain types of pets to stay, or have size limits so that only small pets can stay. Many will charge an extra fee or require an extra deposit in order to allow your pet to stay with them, so be sure to look into this in advance. Many of the websites that list hotels that allow pets will also list their extra fees and restrictions, but some do not. When you book your room be sure to tell the staff that you will have your pet with you so that they are prepared.
Once you arrive at pet friendly hotels, don’t forget to take your pet out often for bathroom breaks to minimize the need for pet travel insurance. Also, if you leave your pet alone in the room, make sure to keep it in its travel cage and put up the do not disturb sign. You don’t want your pet to have any accidents in the hotel room, and you don’t want anyone to accidentally open the door and have your pet run out and get lost. If your pet won’t be happy alone, be considerate to the other guests and take it with you as much as possible so that it doesn’t make a lot of noise and disturb the other guests. Respecting the rules of the hotel concerning pets will help to ensure that the hotel remains pet friendly.
